My name is Carie, but all my little critters know me as Ms. Carie. This is my 18th year in early childhood education. I have always had a passion for early childhood education. While in my senior year at Temecula Valley High School, I worked at a preschool a friends parents owned while attending night classes at MSJC and Palomar Jr College, getting my early childhood credentials.

 

After working at my friends parents preschool for a couple years, being young and free, I decided to pursue a dream in travel and went to a Travel Agent trade school and became a travel agent. I was a travel agent for a little over 10 years. It was fun and I was extremely fortunate to travel to many destinations. I still love to travel today.

After trains, planes and cruises, I decided to settle down and marry my best friend. Aaron and I will celebrate 30 years of marriage in April 2025. We became parents to our son Brandt in 1999 and then to our daughter Abigail in 2006.

I was blessed to be able to take my son with me when I went back to teaching and then when my daughter was in kindergarten I was approached to start working at an in-home preschool. I was blessed to have been a part of many families lives for 8 years at that in-home preschool. It brought out my true passion of teaching 3-5 year olds. I really wanted my own preschool and in 2019 Aaron and I decided to move to Menifee and open Critters & Crayons and in the last couple of years I have really leaned into the enrichment programs for the homeschooled children.

I have a heart and passion to create a fun loving and compassionate learning environment for every child, and an open door policy for each parent. I am so happy to be able to offer a programs where I can share my passion and offer deeper learning enrichments for the homeschool child, I hope you will join me.
